After a distinguished career at the highest levels of government and industry, I returned home to Albuquerque in 2017, drawn by family, heritage, and the land that shaped me.

My passion for leadership, strategy, and building meaningful connections brought me back to work.

I am ready to contribute my experience, energy, and focus to teams and causes that matter.

I’ve advised Presidents, Fortune Global 500 CEOs, and foreign heads of state.

I’ve mentored first-generation students and helped shape national policy.

Soy norteño y orgulloso. I was born and raised in Albuquerque, with family roots in northern New Mexico going back over 400 years. As a descendant of the Tierra Amarilla Land Grant, I come from a long line of New Mexicans who understood responsibility to land, to family, and to community.

A first-generation college graduate, I attended Albuquerque High and earned degrees from the University of New Mexico and UNM School of Law.

As a White House Fellow serving as an Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Liaison, I helped shape national engagement strategies for the President.

Later, I led government relations in Washington for CNH Industrial, including advising Fiat’s CEO and working closely with Fiat leadership during Fiat’s 2009 acquisition of Chrysler as part of the Obama administration’s restructuring of the auto industry.

Before moving to Washington, D.C., I served as Chairman of New Mexico’s Public Service Commission and as counsel to the Chief Justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court.

I have helped drive corporate strategy, build coalitions, and manage complex legal and regulatory work at every level. I’ve also managed teams, multimillion-dollar budgets, and complex organizations in both government and industry. Across these roles, I’ve stayed grounded in collaboration, judgment, and public purpose.

These experiences continue to inform the work I do today, including fundraising, supporting LGBTQ+ rights, mentoring others, advocating for mental health, and standing up to bullies.

I enjoy travel, fishing, golf, and cooking New Mexican cuisine from the Samora family’s secret recipes.

I root for my Bulldogs, Lobos, New Mexico United, Nationals, Commanders, and Caps.

I’m a voracious reader, including Substack, a loyal podcast listener, and a sucker for a good documentary. Admittedly, I also jump on TikTok as a fun distraction.

I sing in the New Mexico Gay Men’s Chorus and serve on its board.

I’m still chasing down bucket-list moments and sharing life with my small, beloved rescue dog, Damit, in Albuquerque’s North Valley.

Honestly, I live, love, and cook like a New Mexico Original.
